10 new Operating Rooms in Brescia Inaugurated the new medical center with maternity and neonatal intensive care

Type of construction: Operating room
State of work: Completed
Date of completion: May 2016
Client: Fondazione Poliambulanza

Turnkey construction of the new operating rooms of Istituto Ospedaliero Poliambulanza di Brescia. It consists of 12 operating rooms, 10 on the ground floor for multi specialist surgery and2 on the first floor for cesareans. The rooms have been built with the highest quality materials combining Corian and tempered glass for maximum durability.

Three sides of the rooms are finished in a 12mm thick white Corian faced panel with the fourth being a satin and frosted tempered glass with ceramic pigments. The satin finish option allows the use of lasers within the surgical operation.

Integrated within the walls are transparent glass anti-reflective sections housing the latest 4K display monitors. Every operating room has a specific printed design to create a warm and unique environment.

Each area was finished with a fully certified airtight ceiling with a high degree of noise reduction, automatically operated surgical washbasins in Corian and a dirty side corridor consisting of prefabricated walls in powder coated stainless steel. All equipment such as surgical lights, operating tables and ceiling pendants were provided by Trumpf Medical.
